La Changada- Chips of your choice on the bottom, diced jicama, cucumber, regular sized cueritos topped with chopped original dried meat flavor and 3 jumbo cooked shrimps with 'special sauce', chamoy and Tajin is called papitas con carne seca y camaron all for $10.80. This is the most popular item on the menu. My family being from Mexico consider spice and mariscos as a big factor. The shrimp pop out with a great taste of medium tofu and the smell of fresh fish-skin. Spice is a great way to describe their menu. Anyone can modify the snack but might not taste the same. Everything about the environment was enjoyable from the employees to the snacks. The environment is surrounded full of a Hispanic culture, being greeted and only having a Spanish menu. Going in and getting a strong scent of chilly and chamoy. A Small local enough for 12 people to sit or wait around standing. It doesn't matter to me if it is all packed in a to-go box, if I use my fingers or a plastic spork to eat. Neither that there are small pieces of food on the floor or on a table. Non-Spanish speaking people that go to this place might have a hard time to understand what they offer on the menu, but employees can help translate. If you don't like spice or Mexican related snacks, then this might not be a place that would be enjoyable for you.
I love this place, they stand out because of there spicy clamatos. You can pair lots of choices with Dried meat (lots of dried meat flavors) and jumbo cooked Shrimp, They also have fresh fruit that you can pair with mixed nuts and different sweets. They also have locations in Kansas city and Olathe.
Did this place just open?! SPICY is one word to describe it... But a really good spicy balance with freshness.
I assume that if you are reading this you are either Mexican, is dating a mexican or loves spicy flavors! So the other day I was driving and parked at the liquor store just in front and couldn't resist to go in and try the clamatos, I wasn't disappointed. This clamatos are the best I´ve had in this country... very authentic! and not just clamatos, they also have fruit and chips with all kind of delicious stuff, and some other snacks. You have to try the different carne flavors, the habanero is so hot and spicy but so good! I like to come here, order and go home and add some beer to them.
Great service, unique snack food you don't find everywhere. It's quick, the quality is fresh, and I am a fan! They have a few small tables but is mostly a to-go spot. Check it out!
